What does this mean?

Witness of Christ’s love to all people

Opportunity to participate in regular Bible study and fellowship

Respect our peers, those in authority, and our environment

Serve those in need

Hope that comes from Christ’s life, death and resurrection

Invite others to join us for activities

Praise God through church attendance, youth activities and prayer

This is most certainly true.

The purpose of our youth group is not to do activities just to stay busy, but to grow individually and as a group. Outside of Sunday mornings, youth have the opportunity to be a part of small group bible study, fun and service activities. We use our gifts and talents to serve others by working at the Chattanooga food bank, Habitat for Humanity and the wildlife center. Not everything is ‘work’, but fun and celebration. We gather for “lunch and a movie” on the second Sunday of every month after the worship service. The youth enjoy going bowling and trying to get the highest score by bowling with their opposite hand. We encourage you to join us!

Sunday school
Fun, relevant, weekly topical and in-depth bible studies for junior and senior high youth. Classes are held Sundays at 9:15am to 10:15am in the junior and senior high youth rooms.

Bible Study opportunities
Youth join for a time of fellowship and Bible study Monday nights from 6-9pm during the summer and 6-8pm during the school year. There are also retreats throughout the year where students get to meet with other youth in the area.

Confirmation
7th and 8th grade students take part in a class that educates them about the Lutheran faith. Students reestablish the promises their parents made at the time of the students baptism, proclaiming their own statement of faith. Classes are taught by the pastor throughout the school year.

Vacation Bible School
VBS is held every summer for youth grades pre-kindergarten through fifth. Students participate in games, crafts, music and bible study. Throughout the week students learn how to apply scripture to their lives. There is also an adult class.
